Avon Mill is a popular garden centre, set in the Avon Valley, in beautiful West Country South Devon. They sell household gifts and plant related products as well as offering award winning cream teas and light lunches in their charming café.

They have been a Swan customer since 2008 and were looking to update their internal systems since they were becoming difficult to support. Avon Mill decided to stick with Swan because they already had an existing relationship and felt that we have been very efficient at supporting them previously. They decided to use Swan’s hosted service, as this would take away a lot of the setup and ongoing technical issues from their in-house team.  After several weeks of planning, training and data conversion, they went live on their new hosted Swan system on 6th November, aided by their Swan Project Manager, Keith Jenkins.  In December, Jane from Avon Mill got in touch to say: “I wanted to say how grateful I am to Keith for the smooth installation of the Swan system. He has been available for support and guidance throughout and enabled me to carry out all the pre-installation work to ensure a trouble-free installation. I feel well versed in a lot of the functions now and can move on to extend my knowledge further in the New Year.”

On the 21st January, we had a catch up with Jane to see how well her and the team were finding their new system and she added that: “Generally speaking the back-office systems are a lot better and easier to use. I have learnt more about the functionality and operation of the system and am looking forward to receiving an update later in the year. I will contact Keith for more support.”

We are really glad to hear that the team at Avon Mill are already benefiting from a more streamlined Swan system: two staff use the back-office function and 12 in total are on the tills. They are already seeing considerable improvement in the business’s efficiency and feel safe in the knowledge that we will be on hand to offer any future support.
