Despite no elite football being played in Britain during this unprecedented suspension period, we are celebrating the success of our very own football stars!
For the past three years, we have sponsored Hessle Rangers Girls football team who have recently made it through to the under 16’s County Cup Final after a winning week.
Ricky Skelton, product manager at Swan Retail, whose daughter plays in the team and is club secretary writes:
‘The girls are now U15s and have played together for 6 years. The club is a charter-standard football club based in Hessle, East Yorkshire and has 22 boys’ and girls’ teams plus 4 senior teams. It is currently the second biggest club in the region.
We are really proud of the girls’ performance and can’t wait for the final!’
The girls won the semi-final on penalties after a 1-1 draw. In the final they will meet their elders, playing Hessle Rangers Under 16’s on 2nd April.
