It’s all about capturing sales that would have been missed whilst stores are closed. Landers new Shopify website, integrated with their existing TRIMS system, was launched on Friday and has seen sales rocket over the last few days.

They cater for all outdoor enthusiasts with a vast range of specialist clothing and equipment. Their aim is to maximise their customers’ enjoyment of the outdoors.

Like many retailers, Landers had to close its doors following government advice. This made ecommerce more important than ever, something Landers had not ventured into before. Emma, General Manager at Landers, explained why she chose the ecommerce platform, Shopify:
‘I chose Shopify mainly because it’s so simple and user friendly, especially as this is my first venture into online business. From my research, I believe that it’s a robust platform and is well established. I have confidence that there won’t be any Shopify related teething problems. Many consumers are taking to the outdoors in what would usually be a busy period for Landers. Following the launch of their fully integrated Shopify site on Friday, they hit the ground running with strong sales over the weekend. Emma defines what this means for the business:
‘Having an online store opens up many new avenues for us, as well as allowing us to continue to trade while our store remains closed. We’re looking forward to getting to grips with all the new opportunities and possibilities. Having an online store also adds an extra layer of credibility in my opinion.’
