US-based logistics software specialist DispatchTrack has announced its launch into the UK furniture market after teaming up with furniture retail management software provider Swan Retail.

With over 30 million deliveries per annum delivered on the DispatchTrack platform in the US this cloud-based solution is trusted by businesses with various fleet sizes to optimise their delivery operations, provide real-time visibility and optimise customer communication.

The newly formed strategic relationship between DispatchTrack and Swan Retail will see both businesses’ work closely with joint marketing and sales activity in the UK and USA.

Swan Retail has recently been looking to tap into the US market and feels that this new strategic relationship could create the perfect opportunity.

Chris Marsden-Jones, business development director at Swan Retail, said: “DispatchTrack’s software in the US visits 1 in 5 households every year and supports over 14,000 trucks on the road. We jointly share several referable customers across various industries including furniture, appliance and home deliveries.”

Bob Bauer, V.P. of sales and marketing at DispatchTrack, also commented on this connection: “We provide a high level of communication and developed a mobile application that offers direct and real time communication between the office and delivery team. We are looking forward to working with Swan and expanding our UK customer base.”

Commenting on the UK launch, Tony Wingate, UK representative for DispatchTrack, said: “Swan has committed to integrate DispatchTrack across all their applications where appropriate.
“Having been involved in numerous final mile solutions over the years I came across DispatchTrack and implemented it for one of my clients, a large independent furniture retailer here in the UK.
“The implementation was simple, the system easy and intuitive to use and started to deliver the promised benefits around efficiencies, savings and perhaps most importantly service from the outset. I liked it so much I joined the DispatchTrack Team!”

The DispatchTrack software solution provides a number of key services, which include:

· Automated Route Optimisation

The company has also forged other UK relationships ahead of its official launch, which include Fairway Furniture, Alan Ward Furniture and Furniture Village, with all three praising the software.

Peter Harding, managing director of Fairway Furniture, said: “We are very passionate about this product and truly believe this is a solution that almost any furniture retailer would benefit from implementing.”

Neville Boulds, finance director Alan Ward Furniture, said: “DispatchTrack provides us with real time management of the delivery team out in the field better than we have ever been able to before saving hours upon hours of employee time.”

Eamon Wynne, director of operations at Furniture Village, added: “We would have no hesitation in recommending that anyone involved in home delivery should give this product very serious consideration. It has made a real difference to our business and we quite simply wouldn’t be without it!”

DispatchTrack has also confirmed that it will have a presence at both the AIS Furniture Show and the NEC Furniture Show this month.
