JT Lloyds is a luxury fragrance and beauty retailer located in Charter Walk shopping centre in Burnley, Lancashire.  They provide their customers with a tailored and relaxed shopping experience, offering advice on the best brands and latest skincare ranges. They are keen to stay efficient and competitive on the high street, which were their motivations for choosing a new system.

They have been a Swan customer for 9 years and on Wednesday 9th January, they went live with a hosted Swan system as a replacement for their out-dated buying and EPoS system. On the 30th January, we had a catch up with Louise to see how well her and the team were finding the new system and she said: “It’s been running amazingly well. It seemed like Keith and the team flicked one switch and we transferred straight over from our old system to our new Swan system.  There were no disruptions to the business whatsoever. Since the installation I have had regular remote training sessions with Keith on Skype, which helps to keep costs down, and we’re delighted that the reports we can now get are a lot more detailed and efficient. There are lots of useful features available –  it’s the nearest you can get to a bespoke system.  We love the fact that it’s on the Cloud as this gives us complete confidence that,  if we had a virus, we would feel safe in the knowledge that we would be fully protected.”

When asked if there was anything about the system that she would change, Louise replied: “There’s nothing that we can criticise; excellent support is paramount to us and because Keith knows how retail works, he understands exactly what we need and can help us tailor Swan to work how we want.” 

This is excellent news from Louise at JT Lloyds; we are really pleased to hear that everything went so smoothly, from the initial installation right through to setting their system up and staff training. Louise is currently using the system every day and is training two of her colleagues to use it, as she is confident that she understands the processes and can teach them herself. Her favourite feature is the point-of-sale and she finds the whole purchasing system a lot easier to use than their previous system. The fact that everything is available on the Cloud means everything is updated instantly, which really helps with their peace of mind. They are also interested in having the capability to sell online in the future and with their Swan hosted system in place, this can now be easily accomplished.
