Swan Retail Ltd is a bespoke software house based in Waterlooville, Hampshire, focusing on the retail market. We offer a comprehensive solution covering software, hardware and services for all aspects of retail businesses such as Stock Management, Tills (EPoS), Accounts, Customer Ordering, Warehousing, Web Integration and Mobile.

About the role:

The function of this Account Manager position is to actively manage and promote the relationship between Swan Retail Ltd and its customers, whilst also maximising sales opportunities.

You will report directly to Chief Commercial Officer and have exciting opportunities to exceed targets and develop new and existing relationships with a range of clients. Responsibilities will cover:

  • To learn and understand the Company’s products and markets and customers
  • To be the customers main point of contact within Swan Retail Ltd
  • Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • To be aware of outstanding incidents and maintain contact with customers throughout this duration
  • To expedite potential sales opportunities i.e. upgrades, training and actively monitor their progress
  • To provide support to assist in resolving issues for both customers and those forwarded from other departments and colleagues
  • To maintain accurate records of all customer contact in an organised manner
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues at all levels and departments
  • To be active at trade exhibitions, shows and conferences
  • Visit customers on site when required

Skills & Experience

  • Full drivers’ licence and the ability to travel to client sites or exhibitions when necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent level of IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office
  • Experience handling customers queries to a high satisfaction level
  • Experience building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with existing clients and customers
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
